Sandhills Center recently conducted a Request for Proposal (RFP) for this service, and one (1) provider was selected to serve members in Harnett and Lee counties. We are issuing another RFP to provide services in other regions of our catchment area.

We are requesting proposals from for-profit and non-profit providers to provide (b) (3) Intensive Recovery Supports for women with a substance abuse disorder, whose Medicaid is within the Sandhills Center catchment area. Agencies are not required to be in the current Sandhills Center provider network, but if selected through this RFP process, services must be provided within one or more of the following counties: Anson, Guilford, Hoke, Montgomery, Moore, Randolph and/or Richmond.

Services are designed around the preferences and choices of the individual and will focus on training and supports to include citizenship skills, communication, crisis management, relapse prevention, socially appropriate behaviors, self-advocacy, informed choice, community integration and relationship building.

Please note: This service is periodic, not residential.

Population to be Served: Medicaid recipient must be a woman, age 18 or older, who is either pregnant or has a minor child; has a diagnosis of substance use disorder; has been discharged from substance use treatment within the last 60 days, including discharge due to lack of successful treatment; has a minimum of an ASAM Level 1 Outpatient, AND has a functional impairment related to substance use that interferes or limited one of more major life activities.
