Moore County hosts Crisis Intervention Team training in September 2020

Moore County held its first CIT class of 2020 during the week of Sept. 14, 2020. Moore County CIT is supported through a partnership between Sandhills Center, the Moore County Sheriff's Office, Sandhills Community College, Moore County EMS, FirstHealth of the Carolinas and NAMI-Moore County. Host officers included Lt. Bryan Monroe and Sgt. Todd Maness of the Moore County Sheriff's Office. Twenty first responders completed the 40-hour training course. Participants included representatives of the Moore County Sheriff's Office (patrol, detention, investigations, animal services and the 911 center), the Pinehurst Police Department, Moore County Schools Police Department, Holly Springs Police Department, Cape Fear Valley Mobile Integrated Health and the Rockfish Fire Department.
