Sandhills Center cosponsors CIT training in Lee County

A 40-hour Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) training program was held at Central Carolina Community College in Lee County during the week of October 18-22, 2021. Fifteen law enforcement officers graduated from the course. They represented the Lee County Sheriff's Office, the Sanford Police Department and the Greensboro Police Department. Sgt. Patrick Carroll of the Sanford Police Department served as host officer. Lee County CIT is a partnership between Sandhills Center, Central Carolina Community College, Lee County Sheriff's Office, Sanford Police Department, Therapeutic Alternatives, Central Carolina Hospital, and NAMI-Cumberland, Harnett and Lee Counties.
