First responders in Guilford County complete CIT training

During the week of Oct. 7, 2019, Guilford County hosted 40 hours of Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) training for 21 law enforcement officers and other first responders. Students represented the UNC-Greensboro Police Department, North Carolina A&T State University Police Department, Greensboro Police Department, Guilford Metro 911, Guilford Technical Community College (GTCC) Police Department, Guilford County Sheriff's Office and the Alamance County Sheriff's Office. Lt. Holly Pate of the Greensboro Police Department served as host officer. CIT in Guilford County is cosponsored by Sandhills Center, NAMI-Guilford, GTCC and the Greensboro Police Department.
