Sandhills Center - Psychopathology 101
January 24to January 25 @ 09:30 AM - 01:30 PM
Sandhills Center - Psychopathology 101
This training will provide an overview of common psychotic and mood disorders, while also discussing common comorbid challenges around anxiety, depression, and trauma. In addition to discussing symptoms and behaviors, we will be highlighting the importance of normalizing (and not pathologizing) individuals we are serving and their respective experiences, and how that relates to person-centered and recovery-oriented treatment. This training will emphasize and highlight how people’s symptoms may impact their function and participation in treatment, healthcare, communities, employment, and education and how to utilize this information to best support people in their recovery goals.
