The Office of Human Resources performs many behind-the-scenes functions. These include effectively onboarding talented professionals, ensuring they are appropriately trained and/or credentialed for success, and compensating our most important assets with wages and fringe-benefit offerings that are fair and competitive. We also provide staff with opportunities for growth through exposure to challenging career paths that reward performance excellence.
The Office of Human Resources is headquartered in West End, N.C., and supports management and staff there, as well as those located in administrative field offices in Greensboro, Asheboro, Sanford and Buies Creek. The unit is staffed by Leonard Covington (Chief Human Resources Officer), Denise Cox (Human Resources Analyst), Chris McLean (Human Resources Specialist), Thelma King (Human Resources Consultant) and Joanette Patterson (Administrative Assistant).
