Publication Date: December 5, 2018

Guilford County recently completed the Crisis Intervention Team training class that was initially scheduled for Oct. 8-12, but was interrupted due to Hurricane Michael. A makeup training session and graduation ceremony was held Nov. 15 at Guilford Technical and Community College (GTCC). Officers from the Greensboro Police Department, Guilford County Sheriff’s Office, GTCC, North Carolina A&T State University and the Cary Police Department represented law enforcement, and Guilford Metro 911 telecommunicators also participated in the class. Lt. Demarr Inman of the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office served as host officer. CIT in Guilford County is cosponsored by Sandhills Center, NAMI-Guilford, GTCC and the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office. Photo credit: Heather Odendahl, Sandhills Center Communications Specialist.
