The Local Management Entity of the MH/DD/SAS System serving Anson, Harnett, Hoke, Lee, Montgomery, Moore, Randolph, and Richmond Counties of North Carolina will be a partnership of consumers, family members, service providers, policy makers, and other community stakeholders in creating service options responsive to individual needs and their preferences. Services provided will enable individuals to live their lives and pursue aspirations beyond the limitations of mental illness, developmental disabilities, and/or alcohol or other drug use.
Our Mission
To improve quality and efficiency of public and private services and supports for persons with mental illness, developmental disabilities, and/or substance abuse/addictive disorders so they can increase their opportunities and abilities to lead lives of dignity and independence in the community of their choice and insure that access to care will be available in a timely manner for all consumers and families.

You will be informed of your rights. You will be treated with respect, dignity and privacy. Your care will be free from physical punishment, abuse, neglect or exploitation.
Federal and State laws protect your rights when receiving mental health, developmental disabilities or substance abuse services.
The Consumer Affairs/Customer Services Office is open to consumers who wish to voice complaints and concerns regarding their care and available services. You also have the right to voice complaints or concerns about Sandhills Center or your Provider.

How To Access Services …
Services may be accessed 24 hours a day, seven days a week through a professional clinician. The following community facilities are available in each of the eight counties of the Sandhills Center catchment area for scheduled and emergency services from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on weekdays:

After Hours Crisis, Emergency and Screening Services…..
Are available for crisis situations, such as suicidal feelings or wanting to harm oneself, adverse medication reactions, or other conditions requiring immediate attention.
When Sandhills Center facilities are closed, the following telephone numbers will connect you to trained staff who will assist you in a crisis. After hours staff can direct you to designated local hospital emergency departments, should immediate treatment be required.
